Which Delta Models This Applies To

Delta fence systems break down into three residential series: the Delta Classic (pre-2018, square posts with snap-on caps), the Delta Pro (2018-present, routed posts with hidden fasteners), and the Delta Estate (heavy-duty 5-inch posts for wind-load zones). The Classic and Pro series share rail dimensions but use different bracket geometries, so a Pro bracket will not seat flush on a Classic post. Check the inside of the post cap for the stamped series mark, or measure the post wall thickness: Classic is 0.060 inch, Pro is 0.080 inch, Estate is 0.100 inch.

We source OEM Delta hardware through our distributor in San Jose, though for post caps and line brackets we often install American Fence Supply equivalents that match Delta specs and carry the same wind-load rating. The exception is the Delta Pro hidden-fastener system, which uses a proprietary rail-to-post locking tab. For that, OEM is the only reliable fit. We note the series on every quote so you’re not paying Pro prices for Classic-level hardware.

Signs Your Delta Fence Installation Is Failing

• Gate drags or won’t latch. The gate frame has racked out of square, usually because the diagonal tension wire snapped or the bottom hinge bracket pulled its screws. In Redwood City, we see this most often on north-facing gates where moisture collects in the lower post.

DIY or Call Us?

There’s nothing dangerous about fence hardware, but there are two places DIY goes wrong fast.
